| Chapter XLII | Jar of Positivity

DIY: Jar of Positivity

A Jar of Positivity is a jar (of any size) filled with positive quotes. I personally think it makes for a great, thoughtful gift. It is very easy (and fun) to make and best of all, very inexpensive. You can decorate your jar any way you want. You can also come up with creative ways to place your quotes in the jar.

This is how I made my jar:

The Materials
I wound up not using the following materials that are shown:
1). Apple Barrel Fuchsia Acrylic Paint
2). Apple Barrel Banana Acrylic Paint
3). Green, gold, and red ribbons.
4). Most of the stickers on both of the sheets
5). The pink letter "M" sheet of paper
(I'm aware that I'm using a pair of kitchen scissors. My regular one broke a long time ago and I never got around to buying a new one).

The Lid
I covered the lid with cut up pieces of the tan letter "M". It would have been easier if I had a sheet of colored construction paper but since I didn't, I had to make do with what I had.

The Lid
I added a pop up flower sticker.

The Lid
I painted a small letter "K" with Apple Barrel's Petunia Purple Acrylic Paint.
(K is the first letter of the name of my friend. Of course, you can put whatever letter you want.)

Front of the Jar
I decorated it with one of the pop up stickers with wording.

Back of the Jar
I decorated it with another pop up flower.

The Ribbon
I tied a pink and white polka dotted ribbon into a bow around the neck of the jar.
(The top photo shows the bow tucked back - in order to show the wording)

The Decorated (but empty) Jar
I placed the lid on the jar to see the completed look of the decorated jar.

Inspirational Quotes
I typed up random positive, funny, inspirational quotes on Microsoft Word to place in the jar.
I put them in a grid form with 16 total quotes on the page.

Printed Sheet of Quotes
(Self explanatory)

Scrolls of Quotes
After cutting each quote into a square of it's own, I rolled it up and tied a white ribbon around it-making it look like a tiny scroll.

And finally....the Jar of Positivity!
(Shown in 3 different angles)

Thank you for looking! Have a wonderful day/night! :-)
