| Chapter XXIV |

I just realized tonight that I had not been on here since March...wow.
Once again, a lot has changed, which, honestly, is pretty much expected since it's been about 9 months.
We wrapped up our stay in Beaufort and officially departed in the last week of June.
Below were the main events between March and June:

* A trip to Jacksonville, FL with my cheeky (Heather) and David. We had a great time at the Jacksonville Zoo and a delicious dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, which I have missed so much since Kansas City.
*Our 1 year Anniversary which we spent going to dinner at Outback. Our waitress was so sweet and thoughtful and brought was a free dessert.
*My 25th birthday, which, once again, we spent going to dinner at Outback. I had Outback twice in a row for my birthday and that was just fine with me because they give out great (free) birthday desserts! :) Also for anniversaries :)
*We drove back to Somerset for his sister Brittany's high school graduation. Went camping the night before her graduation and had a blast!
*We went to Keith's Place for Randy's going away and had a great time.
*A few days before we had to leave we drove to meet up/pick up his mom, step dad, and sister at the border of North and South Carolina. They came down to help with the final clean up of our house and also with the move. It was definitely helpful!

Needless to say, leaving Beaufort was definitely an emotional experience because I was leaving behind my friends, which, among them was my dearest friend Heather (cheeky). We did have our last movie date where we went to watch The Proposal (which is hilarious!). We said our goodbyes afterwards. I miss her soooo much! :-(
It was also emotional because that was where we met, had our first place together, and spent a lot of happy, exciting, yet sometimes even sad days. Beaufort, SC (even without a mall and most of the times, pretty boring) will always be in my heart.
The drive to Somerset was long, exhausting, and simply irritating because the weather was a billion degrees and we all were working on little to no sleep. We had also been cleaning our hearts out in the past 2 days.
We made it into Somerset safe and sound. We stayed for about a month at his grandparents and had a wonderful time. They are just so sweet and I absolutely love them!
During that time we were place hunting and we finally lucked out with the cutest 1 bedroom apartment with such a crazy deal on rent that we just couldn't refuse. I was skeptical at first due to that fact but the apartment checked out fine. It was clean and perfectly set up and I fell in love with it from the get go. Plus, all the money we were going to be saving was exciting me way too much. It was also just 5 minutes from his grandparents which was perfect! We officially moved in on August 4th.
Since then:
* We have been spending time with all his family and it's just awesome!
* We started attending Parkers Mill Road Baptist Church with his dad and family and we love it there.
* Had a wonderful Halloween, although no trick or treaters came by. Whatever though, more candy for us! :)
* Went to the Chicken Festival in London, KY which is about 30 minutes away and had so much fun!
* His grandpa had a mild stroke the Sunday before Thanksgiving so we spent a few nights at the hospital. He is doing a lot better now, though, and I am so thankful to God for hearing our prayers.
* Had Thanksgiving dinner at 3 different places and they were all so yummy. Definitely not good for my weight but worth it :)
* The first snow of the season was beautiful, albeit a light one but I definitely enjoyed it nonetheless. I have missed snow soooo much and cannot wait until it snows again and this time, hopefully a lot heavier.
* Been Christmas shopping in the past week and have about 1/2 of our shopping done. We have been trying to avoid Wal Mart as best as we can but I know we will have to eventually go there and fight the crazy Christmas traffic.
* I still have yet to buy his gift but I'll get to that soon.

He recently got a new job and works in Lexington and sets his own hours. We are going this Friday to pick up his paycheck. I'm hoping to do some shopping while I'm there. For others as well as, hopefully, for myself :)
Well, I'm counting down the days until Christmas and it looks like there is 8!
Till next time...take sweet care and enjoy the holidays!
